OUR RECRUITMENT PROGRAM...
FOR MEAFORD AND THE TOWN OF THE BLUE MOUNTAINS
The communities of Meaford and the Town of The Blue Mountains are working together to bring Family Physicians to this outstanding area of Ontario, located two hours northwest of Toronto, and 10 minutes from the ski hills of Blue Mountain, Collingwood.
Our communities, through a Community Board, are funding Physician recruitment with financial incentives to Family Physicians moving to the area. The granting of these incentives is based on length of commitment, and the breadth of services delivered in the clinic, at the Hospital in Meaford, including inpatient and emergency care, and within the community as a whole. Please contact North East Grey Health Clinics Board to discuss the incentives available, via email to info@communityfamilyhealthcentres.org.
We are currently recruiting for four additional Family Physicians to join our existing team in a new Clinic in Thornbury, Town of The Blue Mountains, with hospital privileges in the Meaford Hospital, a facility of Grey Bruce Health Services. View the Position Precis.
The Ministry of Health and Long Term Care have approved Meaford/The Blue Mountains as an underserviced community, and those Physicians who meet the Ministry criteria will be able to apply for relocation and tuition reimbursement funds through the MOHLTC underserviced program. The Recruitment staff of Grey Bruce Health Services physicianjobs@gbhs.on.ca is available to assist applicants wishing to apply for this underserviced funding. Interested applicants may make contact with our Ministry representative, Sherri Cassin, at Sherri.cassin@ontario.ca to review their eligibility for this program.
The Meaford Hospital offers financial incentives to those Family Physicians who come to the community, apply for privileges at Grey Bruce Health Services, commit to a minimum of three years service and deliver care to inpatients as well as provide emergency services out of the Meaford hospital. If you are a Medical Student or a Family Medicine Resident in Ontario, we encourage you to consider our area for an elective opportunity during your program. You may arrange for this experience through the Rural Ontario Medical Program at www.romponline.com.
For those attending Schulich School of Medicine at UWO, you may contact Southwestern Ontario Medical Education Network at www.swomen.ca
